Letter to the Editor (RVLC)

Mr. Ramon Paje
Secretary
Department of Environment and Natural Resources

Dear Mr. Paje,

The increasing problem of environmental pollution is an issue that currently occurs all around the world today. Our planet Earth is encased in a thin cover of air and water which is known as the biosphere and is the reason why life is sustained. As the biosphere becomes thinner because of the pollution caused by our planet, sooner or later, Earth may become a lifeless planet. Despite what may happen in the future, man continues to misuse our earth’s resources and take them for granted.
This problem was caused by us, humans, and because of us the planet that we live in suffers. Due to the selfless actions of mankind, the air and water surrounded the earth is not capable of cleansing itself any longer and our ozone layer continues to slowly depreciate through the years. If our environment collapses, it will make survival almost impossible and all of mankind will end up losing their lives. It is evident that changes in our environment are beginning to occur and these changes serve as a warning telling us to get ourselves together in order to rebuild what we have destroyed.
It’s about time that we all come together globally in order to address the serious environmental issues that we have caused. If we don’t change our way of living, we will all suffer the consequences that we’ll eventually gravely regret.

Sincerely yours,

Student, DLSU
